McCormick and Schmick's Clambake?

Saw a couple ads for clambakes on Sunday nights at McCormick and Schmick's in the Inner Harbor. $21.95 for lobster, mussels clams corm sausage. Anybody been?

  1. I saw this in the City Paper. If I remember correctly, it's only through the end of September. I'd also like to know if anyone can comment, but might have to try it out anyway.

    1. Where do they dig the hole!? Isn't the Inner Harbor area pretty much all paved? Just my opinion, but I imagine how the clambake experience translates very poorly to a restaurant setting.

        I expec that "clambake" is what's on the menu, not how it's prepared. You'll note that the meal includes other than clams.

        How many BBQ joints have a hole in the ground?

          You can do an indoor clamback in a huge the type you use to cook lobsters in. It works just fine...growing up in New England I have had this a few times, especially in the colder months.

        2. Yes, I ate there this weekend and the clam bake was excellent. For $21.95 you get a whole lobster, 6 shrimp, 6 mussels, 6 clams, 1 spicy sausage and a small ear of corn served contained in a plastic net served in a large soup like bowl (bib, lobster mallet, wet naps, napkins etc. are provided. You can get the clam bake indoors or outside. Outside is better since the view is better and a steel drum band is provided by the restaurant as well. We had a great time and I am already marking my computer to look for the offer next September.
