Other than Joe's and Red Lobster, anyone know of other places for steamed whole lobster in Miami? (Not Florida lobster, tails, meat, etc.)
Tarpon Bend on Miracle Mile has a lobster tank and so presumably must do a whole steamed Maine lobster.
Captain's Tavern in South Miami seems a likely candidate.
Grillfish on South Beach has a live Maine lobster on its online menu.
Joe's Stone Crab has Maine lobster on the menu.
Rusty Pelican on Rickenbacker Causeway toward Key Biscayne.
Oceanaire in Mary Brickell Village must have.
Incidentally, a great tool for checking local menus (pretty broad coverage) ->
Tobacco Road has a lobster special every Tuesday night - 1 1/4lb.Maine Lobster, mashed potatoes and slaw $14.99
626 S. Miami Avenue * Miami, FL 33130 * 305-374-1198
Fox's Sherron Inn does too. For top dollar, Capital Grille, Prime 112 and the Palm all do GIANT bugs too.
I was there on a romantic outing with my wife about three weeks ago after seeing "Up the Yangtse" at the Cosford. The atmosphere was still deeply red light/Scandinavian. The food was acceptable -- we had a good Cobb Salad. The Stella Artois was cold. The waiter, convivial and forgetful. There were a few patrons but it was late. There were no Sliders like there used to be. Still, it's a good place.
Anyone ever been to the Lagoon on the water below the bridge in Sunny Isles? Gibby's in the FTL has a reputation for live Lobster as does ther venerable Wing joint Ricky's in Hollywood.
Le Bon on Lincoln Road always have Maine Lobster. I saw what looked like a 3 pounder get devourered one night.
