Georgetown Girls weekend
Looking for ideas in Georgetown for 5 women (30-40yrs old) for:
1)moderate dinner with good atmosphere
2))night out after dinner (trendy , fun spot not surrounded by college students). Music/Dancing late night .We could check out a few different spots if within walking distance.
3) Brunch or breakfast on Sunday
Thanks!

To add another into the mix, you might want to look at Neyla. Its pretty good Middle Eastern-type food with very yummy bread. Its not really mentioned on these boards, but I enjoy it. Its nicely priced, with an appetizer option to share to taste a bunch of different things. They have a patio that is pretty nicely sized for the area and since its not on M or Wisconsin its not totally packed. Its quiet enough that you guys can talk without yelling.

Thanks for all the input so far. I wish we had more than 1 night to sample all these suggestions. Looks like we will be eating our way through Georetown! We will keep looking at the websites suggested and let you know where we end up. Thanks so much for all the ideas , everything sounds great!

For drinks and/or dinner, check out Leopold's. It's definitely not the usual Georgetown vibe.

Come to think of it, they also do brunch. No dancing though. For drinks/dancing, you could go to Mie n Yu on M Street, but it will be pretty meat-markety. How about walking down to Agua Ardiente over by Dupont/Foggy Bottom? That would be a pretty long walk though; you might want to take the bus or a quick taxi over.

Sounds fun! I'm a Georgetown girl myself (C '96) and need to get back to do this! Think that Citronelle is still a great place in the area for a meal (and/or brunch) but it is really pricey. Brunch may make it a more affordable splurge. Since most of my friends still live in the DC area they've found that other areas (not Georgetown) are much nicer to go out and we tend to just explore when back around campus. Enjoy.

re: Elyssa
Cafe Bonaparte, a little further up Wisconsin Avenue and near the antique shops, is great for brunch. They have delicious crepes with either sweet or savory fillings, as well as sandwiches and omelletes. However, it is small and they do not take reservations so it can be a wait - but worth it!

I would suggest dinner at Hook (AMAZING!!! Ask for a table near the open kitchen) and get drinks at the bar at the Ritz Carleton, Degrees. I did this exact outing last weekend and we had a really great time. Georgetown is chalk full of drunk college kids but at these more adult locations they are few and far between.
If you are looking for Italian you might want to also check out Filomena for dinner.
For brunch I would recommend Bistro Francais.
Whatever you do stay away from the Waterfront!!!!!!!!!

It's pretty difficult to find a spot in gtown where there are no college students. But I agree with the Four Seasons Brunch- they have wonderful food. For dinner I would recommend PapaRazzi- it is not to pricey but I loved their lobster ravioli last time I went. There is also the Ritz down near the waterfront if you are willing to empty out your wallet- the food is alright but I love the atmosphere.

Dinner -- I'd recommend Hook or Bistro Lepic. The Bistro also has an upstairs wine bar, which may be to your liking for either dinner or afterwards. Brunch -- you might check on the Four Seasons hotel or Bistro Francais. Cafe la Ruche, tucked away along the canal, is an old favorite for brunch or deserts. I'm not familiar with food on the waterfront these days, but it is a great place for drinks.
