Morning All - Quick query - While rushing around the supermarket last night, I bought a bootle of green peppercorns instead of caper. Anybody have any idea on some uses? Thanks!

  1. I have used green peppercorns in combination with a 4 or 5 peppercorn mixture for grinding. I believe they are less pungent than the black. The pepper you bought is packed either in brine or vinegar. Here's a link which gives you some idea of how to use them:

    1. Steak au poivre comes to mind - I found this recipe - http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recip... - haven't tried it.

Did a search for "green peppercorn" on their website and came up with this list:

The tarragon green peppercorn vinaigrette sounds delicious.

      1. Wow - thanks for all the great ideas - looks like my mistake will turn into a blessing!
I am going to try a Blue Cheese Burger with Greenpeppercorns from epicurious!

I also made this recipe - it was lovely.

        2. I like using them in pates.
