Santa Monica Blvd, for sure. Little comparison, IMHO. Not really sure if they're owned by the same people: Anyone?

Love the breakast burrito, the patty melt, even the gyro.

I don't know about the ownership, but the menus seem similar. The Astro Burger in Gardena has a decent veggie burger also - coincidence?
The links show a one letter difference in spelling - significant?

EDIT - the web site in the Melrose location Place link does not mention other locations.

The food's pretty much the same between the Santa Monica and Melrose locations.
I prefer the Santa Monica one since it always is a bit more entertaining in the people watching category no matter what time of day/night it is.
I'm a total meat eater but I love the veggie burger and the onion rings are only rivaled by Rick's Drive Thru on Fletcher /Riverside.

Food, pretty much the same...don't worry about it...it's all good cuz it's bad for you...even the veggie burger...those onion rings make it all worth it.

However, I have noticed how the bag of onion rings has shrunk over the years.
