Help remembering the name of an often-recommended Japanese place

I think it's in Beverly Hills (or possibly Santa Monica) and it might start with "m." A lot of people have recommended it for special-occasion dinners (I think. Sorry, my memory is really awful.). Musha and Mako don't look quite right to me when I search the boards. Anyone care to guess what I'm forgetting?

No, I think it was more of a fusion place, not necessarily sushi.

Are you sure it wasn't Mako? That sounds exactly like what you're describing. Doesn't start with an "m," but maybe Orris?

Maybe it was Mako. Orris is more casual, right?

Yes. I would think of Mako as more formal, although both have similar quality of food (both excellent). It's just that the tables are very close together at Orris, they don't take reservations and it can get a little loud.

    2. Could you be thinking of Urasawa?

Only if I had bunches more money at my disposal! (And even then, I think I'd rather have an iPhone.)
