Does anyone know of any bakeries that might have a good King Cake, particularly in the Fremont area or in the San Jose area?

Thanks!

there was a mention in the SJ Mercury yesterday's food section, here is some info from it:

    WHERE TO BUY KING CAKE
For reluctant bakers, king cake is available at a few local shops during the last days of the Mardi Gras season. To be sure to get yours, it's advisable to order in advance.

Wilson's Jewel Bakery, 1285 Homestead Road, Santa Clara, is selling large cakes for $20 through Tuesday. (408) 244-1956.

Wilson's also bakes muffuletta bread for $2 per loaf, but it must be ordered ahead.

Greenlee's Bakery, 1081 The Alameda, San Jose, is selling 16-inch oval king cakes for $14.95. Advance orders are required. (408) 287-4191.
they make great cinnamon bread-my note

Cosentino's Markets plan to carry king cakes at their three in-store bakeries this week. The stores are at 266 S. Bascom Ave., San Jose, (408) 377-6661; 5667 Silver Creek Valley Road, San Jose, (408) 270-1561; and 3521 Homestead Road, Santa Clara, (408) 243-9005.
