Sonoma Dinner -- Need Help!

I will be visiting the town of Sonoma on Monday and Tuesday. I have booked dinner at the Girl & the Fig for Monday and the General's Daughter for Tuesday. But after reading recent reviews about the Girl & Fig, I want to cancel that dinner.

The question is where do I eat now? I want to be able to walk to the restaurant from our B&B which is located close to the plaza. The other problem is that many restaurants seem to be closed on Monday.

Dinner doesn't have to be fancy, just really good food and service.

Thanks

I live in Sonoma and My FAVORITE place is the Swiss Hotel. Its about 1/2 block down from Girl and the Fig and is a wonderful place for drinks or dinner. My favorite is the daily Rissotto...YUM!!!

Also yummy pizza and low key is Marys Pizza Shack.

    Good luck and Have fun!

There's also Harvest Moon on the square not sure if it's open Mondays. CA cuisine with use of local ingredients nad well prepared and nice mix of local wines on wine list. Would second the choice of La Salette is it isn't.

Last Oct we had 2 very good meals at La Salette and Cafe Le Haye. Both were walking distance from our close B & B also off the plaza, and I would think unless something has drasticaally changed at either I would recommend both. Not sure what days they might be closed.

In June we stopped by Della Santina's Trattoria, for an afternoon lunch which was perfect in their outdoor courtyard area, but I can't say the other lunch we had at The Girl & The Fig, was anything memorable, so I was not impressed.

I am sure there are more out there to make suggestions but that's what comes to my mind right now...hope it helps.

Second La Salette. I would take Cafe Le Haye over Della Santina's.
