I just came down with some EXTREMELY annoying mid summer flu I picked up when visiting family in DC. Back in Atlanta and starting feeling a bit rough Wed night. Next day it was much worse so I went to trader joe's and stocked up on chicken noodle. ingredients list is very good and not full of all kinds of junk like a lot of the other brands. higher end organic/fancy do seem to be a bit devoid of flavor. I bought the canned soup and in the tetra packs. So far, I have only tried the tetra pack but I have to say - I'm fairly impressed and I believe it is now my "go to" chicken soup. I like whole foods chicken noodle but its expensive and 85% onion. anyone else notice how ANNOYINGLY overloaded it is with onion? I like onion as much as the next guy, maybe a bit more but enough is enough already! sheesh! : )

I actually like Campbells cheap-o condensed chicken noodle... I dilute it with the no-salt-added Kitchen Basics chicken broth, for extra flavor. I guess since my mom gave it to me when I was sick, I associate the flavor with comfort.
Understanding that Campbells may not appeal to you......... If you need chicken soup and dont want to make it yourself, I'd suggest finding the best take out place that has chicken soup, Boston market is ok in a pinch. Your own city probably has some restaurant or jewish deli somewhere that would sell it "to go" for you.

I generally eat canned chicken soup when I'm really desperate and in a pinch. My brand is Healthy Choice; but still, I can really taste the "tin".
I generally keep stock on hand, both homemade and Pacific organic chicken stock from Costco.
I still have an affection for the occasional Campbell's tomato soup, however. -

Oh, I'll bite. But first, what have you tried so we don't end up listing 25 random options and it turns out you've eaten them all.

I know it's not "canned' but did you try the Trader Joe's chicken noodle soup in the refrigerated section? I'm with you on not liking any of the canned varieties that I've tried, but will stock up on the prepared soup at TJs every time I'm sick or craving my mom's soup. It's got dill, veggies, white meat chicken, and great flavor.
