Whist at the Viceroy

Is it Whist or should it be called a 'waste' of time. I just had dinner there with a friend of mine and am astounded with the food. When we have to add an obscene amount of salt to everything that we ordered...that is a problem. The chef so called trips to Asia that was reflected on the menu....did he miss the bus on that one? I ordered the Thai noodle dish with red curry and it was bland and devoid of any flavor. My friend had a taste of it and felt that the instant noodle you get from a packet, tastes a lot better than whatever the chef was trying to pass off as "Thai". The pork belly was bland (surprise surprise) and hidden under a piece of toast (I wonder what inspired the chef). Next came our main courses which faired no better. I had the scallops that was cooked just right, served with arugula greens, raw cauliflower and some type of vinaigrette that didn't really have any flavor (there seemed to be a pattern here). My friend had the lamb and quinoa that was just that. I wasn't sure if it was Spa Cuisine or just plain laziness on the part of the kitchen crew on seasoning their food. It was a complete rip off and I felt the chef has no pride in his food.
