Venice - La Zucca or La Frasca?

I am definitely hitting the following places for dinner in Venice: Il Refolo on Tues, Da Ivo on Wednesday, and La Piscina on Thursday. Now, I have one night left (a Monday, the day we arrive) - and it is showdown between La Zucca and La Frasca! Although it is not much of a showdown, as I would be pleased to add either one as a lunch choice...

Which restaurant would be the best "first night in Venice" option? Thanks.

La Frasca is one of my favorites. Great seafood simply prepared. Very plain, you eat at picnic tables in a plastic tent with no wine list. But it is such a local experience.

Have not been to La zucca.

Also consider Anice Stellato for incredible seafood.

I would go for Alla Zucca as your dinner choice - be aware it is not typically Venetian. and meats and vegetables, rather than seafood are the stars. Their zucca custard dish is amazing but it may be out of season now - do try it if its on offer.

We like Alla Frasca for lunch - havent tried dinner there - its a pleasant lunch spot - and because they offer a fixed price deal to venetians, the fire brigade or some such group may be lunching at the next table. if you are willing to splash out, their seafood mixed grill is good -
