In my opinion Dos Caminos in Soho would be a great choice. Reserve a table outside, weather permitting, and they should all have a blast, that is if they like Mexican food. Also they have a great selections of Margaritas that can all be made virgin, they will really feel "all grown up" having cocktails with the adults.

If you can provide more info, such as cuisine or location preference, budget per person including tips and tax, which meal of the day (dinner/lunch?) etc. then we can give you more suggestion.

ruby foo's on the upper west side would fit in your budget (look on menupages for the menus of both restaurants).

they dont need fancy..i would go with something basic since my guess is that they are picky eaters......Go to Mangia E Bevi and make sure when you make the reservations you tell them its for a 16th birthday...TRUST ME, they'll enjoy it! They cater to parties..They will have the girls dancing on their chairs!

While I am not a big fan of Stanton Social, for 16 year old girls this is THE place to go. They will have a lot of fun there. And since they won't be drinking, they will have no problem fitting to the budget you stated.

Never heard of this place - since we (the parents) will be going with them - is this a place for us as well - not sure if this was a club or a restaurant??

Stanton Social is a restaurant on the Lower East Side. Small plates menu. Hip vibe. Popular for parties.

I completely disagree on taking 16 year olds to Stanton Social - see my response over here http://www.chowhound.com/topics/43952...

16 is young - take them somewhere fun but not too "scene"-y, because, believe me, the "scene" doesn't like a gaggle of teenaged girls.

See my recs in the other post I linked to.

I completely disagree. No guy would mind a table of 17-18-19 year old girls in an already loud annoying restaurant. Maybe its the self conscious 28 year old women that mind.
