Honeymoon! Paris-Rotterdam-Berlin

My (soon-to-be) wife and I will be departing for our honeymoon on September 16th and will be in Europe for three weeks. First Paris, then Rotterdam, then Berlin, then Vals (a spa in the Swiss Alps) and finally back to Paris.

We would like to have a few memorable (i.e. expensive) meals (Paris is probably the best place to blow the budget) but I would also like recommendations for cheaper cafes, bistros, street food and even recommendations for good markets or grocery stores. Any help would be appreciated- I know I can count on my fellow Chowhounds to keep it real.

I think bropaul meant Paris-Moskau. While I have never been, I have heard they can be inconsistent.

If you want a VERY memorable dinner (I went for my 5th anniversary), go to Margaux. It is absolutely fantastic, creative, delish, and yes, expensive. www.margaux-berlin.de

If you do a search for Berlin, you'll come up with lot's of good advice. There is one place in Berlin I would have loved to try and I think it's called Paris-Brest. It looked very interesting.

        For Rotterdam:
In the centrum, try Amarone on Meent 72a, +31104148487. Nearby, on 69a is De Ijssalon. Try the oma's appeltaart ice cream
There are also several restaurants in Scheepvaartkwartier (Van Vollenhovenstraat) in a place called Westelijk Handelsterrein.
Have you ever had tried fresh stroopwafels? I think there's a stall at Hoogstraat - definitely on Saturdays, but perhaps on other days as well.
        Enjoy!

          Hi-

As there is a specific board for France, you will want to post a query about Paris on that board. http://www.chowhound.com/boards/49
