Hungry for SF, coming from LA 2

Yes! i'm back to SF again for work so that means more eating.

Gonna check out Burma Superstar, Chenery Park and Aziza....

what are your thoughts on Farmer Brown?

And where can i get good pho in SF, not San Jose.

Thanks SF CH'rs

Farmer Brown has a cool vibe and great drinks. I wish their fried chicken was more consistent. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's off. Dark meat is better than white, which can be dry.

Wish I could give you a better rec than FB for fried chicken. The best stuff is at Ad Hoc on alternating Mondays (fried chicken night) but that's all the way up in Yountville (Napa).

For fried chicken I would recomened Hard Knox Cafe
      2526 Third St
      San Francisco, CA 94107-3113
      Phone: (415) 648-3770
its off the beaten path, but their chicken and soul food is great. I heard the catfish sandwich is REALLY good too. I have only had the chicken, mac and cheese, mashed patatos, collard greens, things like that.

If the line's too long at Burma Superstar, you can always go to Mandalay a few blocks away. Though only BS has samusa soup.

Also has chunks of falafel in it. I think it's their own invention. Great dish.

That might be where they got the idea, but the menu says falafel, and that's what they look and taste like.
