ISO OC Family Friendly but more high-end Restaurant

Need restaurant ideas for dinner with friends visiting Disneyland. Looking for more fine dining options or close to it as possible where three young but pretty well-behaved children will be welcome. Areas in or around Disneyland, Anaheim, Orange, Santa Ana or Costa Mesa. Thanks.

  1. My suggestion would be Darya for Persian food, though I don't know which location you'd prefer.

    Darya Restaurant

    Darya Restaurant
    1998 N Tustin St, Orange, CA 92865

    1. If the kids are well behaved then they will most likely be welcome at any fine dining establishment in Orange County. On the Disney property, your friends might look into dining at the Napa Rose restaurant. Very high end, yet still has the Disney magic and quality incorporated into it. Also, because it is a resort property, you don't necessarily have to dress up to eat there.

Also nearby is Mr. Stox restaurant. I like this place, regular american food served in a nice environment with good service. Others will also recommend Thee Anaheim White House or La Vie en Rose, but I've found these two to be lackluster in service and food the few times I've been there.

As far as chains go, you can't go wrong with Morton's, Ruth's Chris, Mastro's, or Flemings (Morton's and Ruth's Chris are within a mile of the resort down Katella, Mastro's is in Costa Mesa and Flemings in Newport Beach) for a great steakhouse.

If they're from out of town, they may want to try Orange Hill restaurant. It is up on a big hill with a great view of the city. The food isn't anything to write home about, but it's edible, and the view may be worth the price of admission the first time you are there.

Hope they have a good time!
