Nice Dinner in Atlanta: Sunday Night

coleyas Sep 1, 2007 12:21 PM

Hi there!

My fiance and I are trying to find a place for a nice Sunday night dinner in Atlanta the night before we leave for our honeymoon this October.

We actually just moved from Atlanta about a year ago, so we're pretty familiar with the places that fit the "nice" part of this question, but the "Sunday night" is posing a problem:

Rathbun's, Food Studio, and Bacchanalia were the first places that I thought of, and none of them are open on Sunday night.

We're staying at the Four Seasons on Sunday night, but would be fine with going to Buckhead for dinner. Any thoughts?

Bone's, while we'd prefer something a little bit more romantic, is our default if we can't think of anything else.

Thanks so much!

Trois is right across the street from the hotel and is fabulous. South City Kitchen is around the corner and very good. There is Element that is new and is where Cherry used to be. One Midtown Kitchen.

In Buckhead there is Antica Posta ( I think Aria is closed on Sunday).

Sunday supper at Restaurant Eugene (on Peachtree just south of Peachtree Battle). Check out their menu at www.restauranteugene.com.

What about Panos and Pauls? It's been a while since I lived there but it's worth looking into.

No offense but Pano's and Pauls would be better for a 50th anniversary than a honeymoon. Food is good but the atmosphere is very 80's. I would say Aria, Woodfire Grill, The Ritz Dining Room Buckhead, Eugene, would be good. Try a post on Atlantacuisine.com for a more thorough reply. I am not sure which of the above places are open on Sunday.

Trois is has been fantastic all three (no coincidence) times my wife and I have gone. check out opentable.com for more ideas. Bluepointe is great if you request a quiet table. In Roswell there is an amazing place called Pastis (again request a quiet table spot).
