Going to Newport tomorrow , looking for a medium priced sea food restaurant for lunch.
Has anyone been to Scales and Shells. Thanks!

Yes, I've been there several times and would highly recommend it. Their seafood is fabulous (I'm a huge fan of the mussels marinara)! Unfortunately, though, they are not open for lunch. I'm also a huge fan of Flo's Clam Shack, which is near First Beach in Middletown. They have a counter/restaurant downstairs, which has delicious (mostly fried) seafood and also a raw bar upstairs. It's a very casual place, but definitely worth taking a trip to while you're here. If you want to stick to something in downtown Newport, perhaps you should try the outside at the Black Pearl or the Landing. I also like the outside bar at 22 Bowens. Enjoy!
