Recommendations Riverside/Leslieville

Looking for recommendations for reasonably priced (9-15$ for main) restos in the Riverside/Leslieville/King East area, I am having a frind in from Montreal this weekend.

  1. Two Italian joints:

    * Definitely check out Lil' Baci. Very good, authentic Southern Italian pizzas, antipasti, other dishes. Nice room too... Queen East near Logan.

    * More hit and miss on the food front, but fun on a busy night. Gio's at Queen East and Leslie.

    1. Gio's for sure ... I rarely ever go wrong here. When a dish is mediocre, ambience makes up for it. A few times we've gone here for a drink first, then somewhere else, and I've always regretted not staying at Gio's. Ceilidh Cottage is usually a winner, too.

        I don't think that Gio's hits the price point. I've never left there without paying $50pp with tax and tip.

          There are a couple entrees that hit the top of the price point but given that one usually needs contorni at added cost, no it won't

          Frankly in that hood it's a pretty hard price point to hit. Most places seem to be more in the $18-24 range for entrees.

              Yipes, I completely missed that the first post was stone age, I hate when that happens.

          1. Queen Margherita Pizza or Pizza Libretto Danforth, Lady Marmalade for lunch, Mother's Dumplings on Danforth... maybe Little India?

              This post is seven years out. They've probably had lunch by now. ;}
