Calvin Trillin made me want Singaporean hawker food
Calvin Trillin just wrote an article in the latest New Yorker that made me want to try Singaporean street-food/"hawker" food. Anyone have any suggestions in the bay area?
In the thread about Kopitiam in Lafayette there is a mention about the opportunity to buy the place out for the evening - with a minimum of 12 people IIRC .... and that there might be a chance to get the chef to do some Singaporean specialties that aren't on the regular menu.
