Patty Melt - San Diego

stevuchan Aug 31, 2007 12:27 PM

Just had a patty melt from Carls Jr. (shame on me, trying to kick a hangover). It was not horrible, and I got my USRDA of grease, but now I wondering where would I go to get a good patty melt (Rye, Grilled Onions, etc.) in San Diego? Please share you thoughts.

Good ol' Longhorn...what a classic place!
Is that guy who's been flipping burgers since he was in High School still there?
      Were talking 30 + years there..he such a character..
Everytime I am in there, I always am running into a Charger/Padre player..active or not

Because it's a divey, East County kinda place in a Von's shopping center and a lot of people aren't always so willing to venture East of the 805 ;-D, even for a good burger!

Don's Country Cafe in Carlsbad used to make a killer patty melt..
Also, Kountry Kafe on Poway road in Poway has a pretty good one too..
I love a good Patty Melt!
