Craving a Turkey Dinner with the Fixings!

Trixie Too Aug 31, 2007 12:10 PM

Yeah, I know it's still summer, but I'm having early Thanksgiving cravings. I searched the board and couldn't come up with anything other than Durgin Park (which is not an option -- not going anywhere near there on a holiday weekend).

I need some dark meat turkey, really good stuffing (cornbread stuffing would be great!), real gravy, real mashed potatoes, and boy, if there's some squash involved I wouldn't turn it down.

Any ideas??

Maybe Henrietta's Table in the Charles Hotel?

A T'giving dinner with all the fixin's is one of my favorites so I am familiar with a couple of spots that offer it....."My Diner" in South Boston being one of them.... I know they roast their own turkeys daily. Good stuff.
And Amhreins, just around the corner, used to have this on their menu. However, I haven't been since they revamped the menu/renovated the place, so I'm not sure if it still exists. It hit the spot back in the day though.

I've had this at Durgin Park and they do it well there, in case you can't find another option.

Well, it's hardly in the boston area, but the Publick House in Sturbridge has a decent turkey dinner. I think they have squash too.

Forgot about the Publick House. Great idea! Husband and I love a road trip.
