Peruvian in NC

We're looking for a Peruvian restaurant. Heard there used to be one in Eastern area of Charlotte, Pollo Loco. Found the location but it was closed. Missing ceviche and Pollo a la braza. Is there anything anywhere within a couple hours of Charlotte?

Tomato in Asheville is Salvadorean food...they have a lot of "a la plancha" type dishes w/ chimichurri...great marinated grilled shrimp appetizer....fried plantains and yucca

There is a Peruvian Restaurant called Mily & Lalo's located behind the The Plaza hotel on Carowinds Blvd. They make a tasty Ceviche! The service is definitely lacking, but the food has always been pleasant.

Thanks, I finally made the two hour drive down from Ashe County this weekend to try out M&L's. After trying to order severel things that they did not have at the time (pollo a la braza, salchipapa, anticucho) we settled on a jalea and arroz chaufa, a papa rellena and a tamale. What we had was pretty good. I'm sure that during a busier season, they probably offer their complete menu. We didn't ask for ceviche. My wife is pregnant and she prefers not to do the raw fish right now. Thaks for the reccommendation.

Not Peruvian but Gastonia has a Columbian restaurant. The two countries have a common border, so maybe the food will be similar. I don't remember its name but we found it in the Yellow Pages. It's on New Hope Road south of Hudson Blvd. The food was good. The empanadas were unique, but good.

It's been about six months since I was there so you might want to call before you go.

You say South of Hudson, how far south? That just looks like hay fields. Has the name come to you yet?
