JKWB to take reservations: Hallelujah !

  • 3

"Beginning September 1, 2007, Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar will accept reservations for both lunch and dinner."

This announcement on the JKK web site is long overdue, and will end the absurd situation whereby we (three) were once told "We can probably accommodate you in about three or four hours."

I wonder if it were patrons' irritation, or a fall-off in business or some other factor/s that caused this welcome shift in policy.

Does anyone know if the new reservation process will allow one to specify whether one wishes to be seated at a table or the bar ?

  1. It's mainly due to an expansion of the Wine Bar into the former JK restaurant space (last night of the restuarant is tomorrow, Saturday)... then then Wine Bar will be taking over the entire space at Church Street.

This is expansion is due to an overwhelming demand for larger parties (read: anything more than four people) looking for the "Wine Bar Experience", something that we have had quite some trouble accommodating in the limited space of the Wine Bar, as I am sure you can imagine. Reservations are a more judicious way of managing a space that size more than anything else!

As for your closing question, yes, one can specify whether one would like a table or a space at the bar.

Does this mean the entire area is going to be serviced by the existing JKWB open kitchen or will the back room be used to cook for those in the old restaurant space?

    2. Great news! I have thoroughly enjoyed my meals at JKWB.
