Anyone been to Rebozos for mexican?

Jus wondering if anyone has been to Rebozos on Rogers rd? I heard it was mexican but that was all

It's a pretty good small taqueria with pretty good tacos--for Toronto. They always have carnitas and a few other standards. Once in a while they will have something different like cabeza, lengua etc.

The space has been listed on MLS for at least a month so I don't know what their long term future is.

bumping this thread up. is Rebozos still around? has anyone eaten there lately? this is one of those places that has been on my list to try for some time, so i hope it's still there and is as good as people have commented in the past!

I've had a craving for tacos all week, and just skimmed through the many "authentic" posts in search of Rebozos. I've always wanted to give this place a try. Perhaps a mini CHOW meetup, if they're still in business?

A quick phone call tonight indicates they are open until 8, so, yes, I would say they are currently in business.

It is indeed still there. No more listing on MLS either.

I went there last Friday and it was great! I had the Pozole which was so hearty and delicious (esp on a super cold day). I've been craving it all week. I also had a chorizo taco. It was ok. Nothing special but good enough.

The owners are really nice and will offer suggestions etc. I really want to go back again soon and have a variety of tacos. It's nice to have a real mexican option in the city.

I also had the pozole and the pancita (tripe soup) a few weeks ago. IMO, the only truly authentic mexican in Toronto.

They're the only place in Toronto consistently offering the lesser cuts for tacos (lengua, tripa, cabeza, etc).

It's a small Mexican place that serves decent Mexican food. I prefer the tacos at El Trompo in Kensington but it's worth a visit.

If you search on Rebozos, you'll find lots and lots of threads talk about the state of Mexican food in Toronto. Rebozos comes up many times as a small gem of a place. Very small, run out of someone's house. But good, simple food.
