NY Style Cheesecakes that Ship Internationally?

I have a friend in London who's been craving NY Style Cheesecake and I really want to ship some to her, but I can't find anywhere that ships oversees. I'm hoping you fabulous chowhounders know of a decent (preferably better than that) cheesecake place that would ship to London. Or just a good cheesecake place in London and I can have it shipped from there (but that seems unlikely). Thanks!

I'm surprised that your friend can't get a nice cheesecake the the food hall at Harrods.

I don't know if she's tried. She just sent me an email saying she was craving New York Cheesecake and I really wanted to send her some.

You might have to do the overseas shipping yourself. Have Junior's ship to you next day and then turn that around and ship it yourself internationally. That's probably a $100 cheesecake.

Piggybacking on the same thread, does anyone know where Peter Luger gets their cheesecake and if they ship in the US?

Yeah, I'm not sure I can afford to ship $100 cheesecake. She might just have to suffer without one. If I do choose to do that, it'll probably be from S&S, though.

Does S&S ship within the US?

Yes, S&S does ship within the US (I'm not sure about overseas). There was a thread about this maybe a month or two ago.

Yeah, that I was the thread where I discovered they ship at all. But only within the continental US. Which is helpful when I want cheesecake, but not for London.

I've been looking to send NY cheesecake to family in Italy for years, never figured out how. Who can tell us???

Is this really necessary? Ricotta pie is indigenous to Italy, and absolutely delicious.

Of course it is delicious, but it is totally different. My Italian friends and relatives are in love with NY cheesecake, and eat it at every opportunity.
