Christmas dinner in Honolulu?

My wife and I are planning to escape the frigid Chicago weather over Christmas. Can anyone recommend a good place to have dinner on Christmas evening? We've found plentyof information about Santa in a canoe and the beautiful lights of Honolulu at Christmas time, but nothing about dinner!

Any and all help is appreciated! Aloha.

I default to my favorite fine dining spot, Bali by the Sea, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. You can't beat the gorgeous beachfront setting though the decor is a bit dated. The food is superb and the service impeccable. I think you would really enjoy dinner from the kitchen of chef Adam Hightower.

Depending on what you want to spend and the ambience you are looking for almost any of the "name" honolulu restaurants would be a good choice. Roys, Chef Mavro's, Alan Wong's 3660 on the Rise, Hoku's, La Mer.

Bali by the Sea mentioned above would be a very nice choice. Hy's Steak House, Longhi's, Morton's, Ruth's Chris would also be good. Tiki's gets mixed reviews as does Hau Tree Lanai, although both have some great ambience.

One thing I am sure of is that you want to get your reservations before Thanksgiving, even by then your choices may be limited.
