Phoenix Pastificio hours?

A few months ago, my wife and I were visiting Berkeley and made our way to Phoenix Pastificio (thanks to some postings on this board). It was a Friday afternoon and we got some fresh pasta and some warm olive bread that was fantastic. We'll be in Berkeley again in late September, but we're only in town on a Saturday and Sunday. Does anyone know the hours of Phoenix Pastificio? Also, is the olive bread available everyday or is that just a Friday thing? (Please tell me that I can get it whenever I want it... it was really good...)

  1. You can get the olive bread at their farmers market stand on Saturday. Otherwise, probably best to phone them.

You can also get it at the Tuesday and Thursday farmer's market.

    2. Does Eric still make his wonderful scones?

      1. If you're going to go to Phoenix on Saturday, you should try to go at lunch time so that you can eat at Cafe Zeste, which shares the same space. The food is very good, and the atmosphere is spectacular - small children and dogs (but not too many of either) play on that big lawn, people sit in the shade of the trees, there is usually live (gentle) music. It looks more like a film set of idyllic Northern California than an actual everyday place....

        1. They are also at the Montclair Farmer's Market on Sunday and they always have the olive bread there.

They're also at Temescal Farmer's Market on Sundays.

          2. So, does anyone know the answer to the OP's question? what are the store's hours?

You could call them and ask. The phone number's in the Places entry.

Taking Robert's advice I just called them. They are open Mon-Sat. till about 7pm each of those days. They open around 3am, but if you want to come by when the bread is just coming out of the oven then you should try to get there by 2pm.

Otherwise you can call in your order and have them hold it for you.
