Fresno Hounds, Sur la Table is Coming Soon!

Don't know if everyone else already knew this and I'm the last one to find out, but Sur la Table is opening in Riverpark next to the new REI sometime in late October. I am excited because I love shopping there for food stuff and food related items. It looks as though it will be a lot bigger than our current Williams and Sonoma (which I feel is rather small). Anyway, just an FYI...

  1. thanks for the info.. this should be a welcome addition as alot of their stores always seem nicely stocked with tons of goodies!!

    1. Good on them! Man, I hope it's a SLT *clearance center*. That would be mas mejor--cool SLT stuff at discount!

A clearance center would be awesome. Unfortunately, I doubt this store will be one of them: there's no indication on the storefront that it will be a clearance center, nor does their web site call it a clearance center. I suppose Riverpark is a little too high-end to be a good location for a clearance center, too.

      2. I did a little happy dance when I saw this announced a couple of weeks ago. I was in San Diego and stopped in the Carlsbad store (the only one BTW in San Diego county) and was telling THEM that they were opening another store in Fresno. Although I enjoy browsing in WS, I definitely BUY more at SLT. Now, if Surfas would just open another store I'd be in heaven.

        1. Sur la Table; yet another store I dare not enter with my wallet on my person. :(>

I know what you mean...I can walk out of Williams Sonoma without buying, but have a hard time doing the same at Sur la Table. Can't wait for it to open!

According to the Bee, opening date is 10/31.

          2. Sur La Table opens on Halloween! YES!

Oh. great. Guess which day of October my wife confiscates my wallet and hides the car keys?

Seriousness aside, this is pretty cool. I'm bummed it's not a clearance store. The older I get, the more I hate paying retail.
