Wine Bars and Restaurants

I'm looking for any wine bars or restaurants with a great wine list in the valley. I would like to find somewhere with a good variety other than kazmir.

Kazmir is a great place... I'm just trying to find somewhere new.

Ideally somewhere with good music and atmosphere.

Thanks for the imput,
Annalicious

  1. I'm assuming you're referring to Kazimierz off Stetson? They have quite a comprehensive list, probably the largest in the state, so are you looking for more by the glass? Perhaps more esoteric wines?

    2. I’d give Backstreet Wine Bistro and Restaurant a good long look,

There have been several threads on it recently, on this board. Great, fun food, wine and service. Plus, it’s a wine shop too.

Another is Atlas Bistro, which is attached to AZ Wines on South Scottsdale Rd., just below Thomas. Web site: http://www.azeats.com/atlasbistro/def...

      1. Christopher's Fermier Brasserie at Biltmore Fashion Park is known for its wine list, which rivals Kazbar's for phone book size. This restaurant is slated to close in the near future when the owner opens something new in the same mall, so it may be best to call ahead.

        1. Looking forward to Fine's Cellar, hopefully in November. Always thought he was great when he had Sportsman's.

          1. Tapino's (Scottsdale/Shea) is also not bad, and Bacchu (Kierland), while a bit pricey, has a wide selection. Ditto Wine Studio (Shea off Scottsdale).

            1. i like lisa g's wine bar - great food, nice wine list, in a cute restored house

                1. For an extensive Italian wine list, you can try Grazie Pizzeria Winebar. Here's the wine list: http://www.grazie.us/winelist.html

                  1. I like Duck & Decanter because it's neither a bar or eatery, but a food shop where you can buy some vino and crack it open on the patio with friends (or sit inside). I'd love more places like this.
