Thai buffet

Does anyone know about a place which has a Thai buffet? I've been to Sapphire Restaurant in Laurel, MD, which was great but not real near. I've also been to Pinto Thai in downtown Silver Spring, which is cheap and quick and closer. Are there any others in the DC metro area (MD, DC, VA)?

Could you please review for us Sapphire Restaurant in Laurel, MD? I have heard good things third-hand but not gotten the benefits ofanyone's direct experience. Thanks in advance!

Thai Spice is OK. I've gone once and have not felt compelled to return. I'd rather pay 6.95 asnd get a good lunch special (generous, too) at Ghin Na Rhee (sp?) in Arlington at the Lee-Harrison shopping center.

Last time I looked, Thai Spice in 7 Corners (a few doors down from the famous Hong Kong Palace) had a buffet at lunch. I think it's $7.95. I've had a couple of non-buffet meals there that were decent so the buffet is probably OK.

Couldn't say a whole lot for the Thai Spice buffet, but then I'm not an educated critic - I will say that the seafood noodles there had pieces of the only non-rubbery octopus I've ever eaten (or would be interested in eating again).

I have gone to Thai Spice several times with work buddies. It's okay for the price if you're not expecting a true Chowhound-worthy experience. They don't spice the food quite so much (given that a buffet must appeal to everyone).
They have the Seafood Ka Prao (is that right?) and yes, the squid is tender.
Also, they had a pretty good pad thai.
What's nice is that they don't cook in large quantities and they refresh the selections frequently -- so nothing sits too long.
