Best Onion Rings in French Quarter

Can anyone make any recommendations in my quest for the best onion ring? I like them crunchy, almost like a tempura batter...not breaded. Thanks for your help.

Also not quite in the Quarter, but walking distance: Bon Ton Cafe, on Magazine St.--greaseless and crunchy, but not tempura style. Some of the best onion rings I've had. Be sure to get some crab au gratin to go along with those rings. :o)

      Jack Dempsey's.... HANDS DOWN !

While not in the 1/4, nor a "tempura" style, the mountain of O Rings rests on a paper towel.... and when you r table has polished them off.... take a look at the paper towel - nary a grease spot on it.

I'm not sure about the French Quarter, but the best onion rings in town are at Cooter Brown's -- best bar food in town

I think Crabby Jacks has exactly what you crave. They are my favorite in the city, but they are not in the french quarter.

I can't really recall any that I've had in the quarter. you might try Deanie's.. they are pretty serious about frying things.

I agree - go Crabby Jack's! Kinda far from the FQ, but worth it.
