Cafe' Degas

Just had a GREAT meal there... Anyone else have similar? I think better than before Katrina...

I have had a few good meals at Cafe Degas since the storm. I tend to stick to the classics though, crepes, omelettes, and the liver and onions dish. Regarding the cheese board, they buy from St. James Cheese Company on Prytania St.

the cheese plate is nice, and the hangar steak is outstanding. Their desserts are great too. Highly recommend!

What did you have? I haven't been lately, just wondering what's on the menu these days.

JG, We had scallops, hanger steak, & the cheeseboard - all excellent. I've also had their coq au vin, another excellent choice, but it was not on their lunch menu last week. Enjoy!

            LOVE their cheeseboard and soups!

Plus they make great cocktails and the ambience is fantastic.

I agree. We have had several delicious lunches there, the most recent was last week. Cafe Degas is definitely one of our favorites.
