I'm partial to Maison Indian Curry on Jean Talon but Bombay Choupati is pretty amazing too if you want to make the drive.

I love the dosas at Bombay Choupati, I recommend those. Delicate and delectable.

From my understanding, dosas mean different things to different people, but my personal preference is for the masala dosa at Bombay Mahal on Jean Talon. It's a large crepe-like thing rolled around spiced vegetables, served with two dipping sauces.

I have had the standard masala dosa at Punjab Palace (greasy, heavy pancake), Bombay Choupati (very good in terms of being thin, fluffy and having a good accompanying sambar) and at Jolee a few years ago (I remember it being good but never returned; see posts regarding Jolee on this thread:http://www.chowhound.com/topics/411132).
So from my limited experience and given the fact that South Indian cuisine is not very popular in Mtl, the best one is at Bombay Choupati although I suspect the one at Maison Indian curry is just as good if not better (judging from other items on their menu); will post when I try it.
