  1. From my understanding, dosas mean different things to different people, but my personal preference is for the masala dosa at Bombay Mahal on Jean Talon. It's a large crepe-like thing rolled around spiced vegetables, served with two dipping sauces.

I have had the standard masala dosa at Punjab Palace (greasy, heavy pancake), Bombay Choupati (very good in terms of being thin, fluffy and having a good accompanying sambar) and at Jolee a few years ago (I remember it being good but never returned; see posts regarding Jolee on this thread:http://www.chowhound.com/topics/411132).
So from my limited experience and given the fact that South Indian cuisine is not very popular in Mtl, the best one is at Bombay Choupati although I suspect the one at Maison Indian curry is just as good if not better (judging from other items on their menu); will post when I try it.

    2. I love the dosas at Bombay Choupati, I recommend those. Delicate and delectable.

        1. I'm partial to Maison Indian Curry on Jean Talon but Bombay Choupati is pretty amazing too if you want to make the drive.
