Need help for a birthday dinner on Labor Day

  • 4

I'm looking for a place to have a birthday dinner for about six people next Monday, which will be Labor Day. We're looking for early evening, in the Hollywood, Los Feliz/Silver Lake/ Mid-Wilshire, or Downtown area, and we'd like something kind of cool, laid-back, and fun. If we can keep it under about $40 per person, that would be ideal, too. We thought of Malo or Cobras & Matadors, but they both look to be closed for the holiday. Your recommendations are appreciated!

  1. Pink Taco in Century City.

    1. Labor Day can be a little tough on finding a restaurant. I know that I've had Japanese in little Tokyo on Labor Day before -- you might call your favorite place down there and see what's open. You might also take a look at opentable.com, which will give you a better idea of what restaurants are actually open that day.

      1. Just a few different ideas, not quite sure if *all* are under you're price range, but for fun and good...

        Asia de Cuba
        BOA
        Cha Cha Cha
        Tanzore
        Opus
        Barefoot

Hey! Cha Cha Cha in Virgil Village is absolutely PERFECT! I checked OpenTable.com, and they're open and able to accommodate a large group at our time - awesome! Thanks so much.
