Chow close to Hilton NY

Tex hound seeks info on reasonably priced (<$60pp, out the door, no counting booze) restos, including breakfast spots, reasonably near the Hilton New York at 54th & 6th. Any help greatly appreciated.

For casual & tasty French, Le Bonne Soupe on 55th bet. 5th & 6th Av.

A little bit of a walk - but close to Central Park if you felt like a morning stroll - is Bottega del Vino - wonderful espresso/cappuccino, breakfast goodies, including pannini.

I love the idea of this place, but it's waaaay out of my price range. Is there someplace, also close to the park, with a similar menu and better prices?

Pain Quotidien, recommended by LeahBaila above, is another breakfast place. I was recommending Bottega for breakfast - I know the cappucino is $4 - but it is definitely worth it - and I don't think that price is atypical for Manhattan/the area. You can drink it at the espresso bar or get it to go.

            Thanks MMRuth.
Love the "bowl of cappuccino" this place offers! Will probably be going here Saturday prior to the Metropolitan Museum.
            Any tips?

Lunch/Dinner: Bar Americain (American-French/Steak), Abboccato (Italian), Molyvos (Greek), The Modern Bar Room (New American at the MoMA).
        Breakfast/Brunch: Norma's (over-the-top, delicious, not cheap).
These are all in your immediate neighborhood.

Bar Americain, The Modern Bar Room, Molyvos and Abboccato work for dinner or lunch; Norma's for brunch/breakfast (expensive for breakfast, though).

Oh gosh, we'd be most interested in quick breakfast spots nearby, casual upscale places with great bread, ethnic casual or trendy spots that aren't impossible to get into, also a place for great desserts and wine.

Is that the PQ you were thinking of - they didn't seem to list all the ones in the city when I added it?

Edit - this one is probably closer:
