Can someone please recommend a restaurant in Palm Beach, Broward or Dade Counties that is fleishig, NOT CHINESE, has table service, and has a decent selection of chicken dishes?
Thanks!

  1. Pomegranate is supposed to be excellent. Located in Boca Raton. I haven't been yet myself but have heard great things.

    1. Check out either Pomegranate or Grill Time in Boca Raton. They're across the the street from each other on Glades Road. Both offer excellent food. Ponegranate is a bit more up scale and not too kid friendly, but great kosher gourmet food. Grill Time is American meets middle Eastern. They have kabobs etc. but they also have a GREAT hamburger, steaks etc. It's a nice place, not a kosher dive. Both have web sites, www.PomegranateRestaurant.net and http://www.greatrestaurantsmag.com/KO... - for Grill Time.

I thought Pomegranate was pretentious and very expensive. Another idea is Mamale in Fort Lauderdale. They do loads of chicken dishes and included you get all the Israeli Salads and home-made bread. My family and I ate there loads of times when we were in Florida for the summer vacation.

I definitely agree about the "pretentious" description. The one thing that stands out in my mind about our experience there, was that the host who seated us, gave us a whole prepared shpiel about the credentials of the chef. This was done in a very affected tone that was almost laughable, though he seemed to take himself very seriously. Then he returned to our table a few minutes later, and apparently having forgotten that he had already given us the shpiel, delivered it again.
The restaurant itself was nice. Some of the foods we ordered were really good, and some were nothing special. It was a while ago, and I don't remember the specifics.
