Quick! - need a place to eat in Cambridge

Where can I go for lunch today in Cambridge that is relatively cheap and on the quick side? I work in Harvard Square and don't want to go to Upstairs on the Square, Om or Grafton St.

Thanks!

  1. Mr. Bartley's for a burger?

    1. For super-cheap and super-fast I would go to Pinnochio's for a slice or two of Sicilian pizza. That, Tanjore, and Bartley's Burgers are the only places I really like in Harvard Square...

      1. cafe at z-square. pretty good sandwiches and salads

        1. Leo's right across the street from the Garage.

          1. You could also go to Il Panino Express up on Mass. Ave. toward Central.

I haven't been there in ages - do they still have the lasagna lunch special on Thursdays? Their tomato sauce on that dish always rocked.

Not sure about the lunch special, but the tomato sauce still rocks in my opinion.

            2. Most definitely either a roasted pork sandwich or a fish sandwich at Flat Patties, in The Garage.

              1. My favorite meal in the area: walk down Mass Ave a bit to The Garden at The Cellar. Get a pizza for $10 or so, and a side of fries (w white truffle oil & rosemary). As soon as I had my first meal at this place, I was excited to return to try more of the menu!

                1. Too late, but you could walk a few blocks or hop the 71 or 73 bus and get to Darwin's.

Bartley's has been my favorite indulgence for years. Z Square is really not bad at all for lunch. But I do miss Campo de Fiori for thin pizza.
