hadn't tried the summer menu until last nite and just wanted to remind people of how good this place is. the kitchen was particularly on or maybe the menu is that interesting or it's just consistently delicious.....but. good. we shared steamers that were really sweet and perfectly sized, a cod taco that i'm toying with going back and having today (!) - crunchy bits of i'm not sure what, tapanade, beer battered cod that resulted in a surprising bite every time. excellent seared scallops, lobster, and my entree - pan fried soft shell crabs that were the opposite of most - a delicate fry, plump meatylegs, full of taste. and sides of grilled vegetables, jicama slaw and my most favorite - corn pudding. kind of a corn pudding brownie for lack of a better description. but whatever - perfect taste of the season. two bottles of wine and not a shred of room for dessert.

  1. The menu on Tides' website lists "Cod Tortilla Wrap" in the main courses. Sounds as though you had the "cod taco" as a starter. But it's not on the apps list. So, are these the same?

no - it was the tortilla wrap. wine dims the memory! we actually ordered it as a second course - after our apps and before our entrees. hence - no room for dessert!

Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought. I don't usually like wraps, but this one sounds very tempting. Too long since we've been to Tides. Definitely time for another visit!

    2. That corn pudding is incredible! When we said how much we'd enjoyed it the chef sent out a second complimentary one.
