Wallse?

Just generally wondering what people's impressions have been after dining at KG's Wallse restaurant?

I've been there a number of times, and have always enjoyed it. I've taken a few cooking demo classes with KG and he's wonderfully entertaining. The food is always delicious. Wallse has a wonderful sommelier, Aldo--he always makes great selections.

Haven't gone in a bit, but I've always enjoyed doing Sunday brunch there. Never terribly busy, simple and good food, good service... Very civilized atmosphere. Good bread, too.

I've always enjoyed the food there, though I've not been back since sometime last winter, I think, I've been 5-6 times. I think they do nice things with lobster, I love the spatzle w/ rabbit, and have had well prepared and interesting fish dishes. Great sommelier and I enjoy exploring the Austrian wine selections. Service has ranged from somewhat unattentive to very professional. Excellent elderflower (elderberry?) cocktail. It can be a bit noisy. It's not a place I think of going when it is warm out even though, in fact, the food is not heavy despite having an Austrian bent.

          I've corrected the address (I think) -

I understand from another thread that Aldo and various others have left - so things may have changed dramatically.

Beautiful place, very romantic and intimate...food is good, but not a place that I'm rushing back to.
