DEN: the best tortas?

Despite the paucity of Mex/Tex-Mex/Cali-Mex/New Mex/any Mex to be found in Boston, the very few decent taquerias we did have turned me on to good tortas. A recent PHX thread reminded me I should now be swimming in them! Any good recs? Thanks!

I like the tortas at Chihuahua on Federal, just south of Evans. I particularly enjoy the Carne Adovada version, served with guacamole and a pickled jalepeno. I'm glad you started this discussion, as this is a much overlooked lunch option in Denver. You would be hard pressed to find a place that charges more that $4 for a sandwich.

300 Nickel St #21
Broomfield Co

The gorditas, especially, are fantastico.
