Food @ the PowWow festival Patterson Park

aussiewonder Aug 24, 2007 11:41 AM

I've never ventured to the Native American Indian PowWow festival that's being held this weekend in Patterson Park. Can anyone tell me what sort of food to expect?

Is it your standard funnel cake/crab cake/chicken on a stick festival fare? Or do they offer cuisine more native to the ethnicity of the festival they're celebrating? if it's the latter, can you make some suggestions or tell me what to expect? I'm debating on whether to go there for a bite tonight or just stop in for a beer to check it out and head elsewhere locally to eat.....

I've never been, but here's a link with some food vendor info...

Doesn't look like too many options, but I might have to head over for some fried bread and a buffalo burger.

I'm a native Okie, and I'm thinking it's been way too long since I had some fry bread.
