Delivery in Chelsea

Hi all,
I moved to Chelsea about 2 months ago and am looking for some solid food delivery. The last place I ordered from was Salsa y Salsa, only because I was craving Mexican food. It was really awful.
What are some of your favorite delivery places? Cuisine doesn't matter...just looking for some really good staples.
Thank you in advance...

If you want Mexican, Blue Moon is the best.

Yes, I was referring to Chelsea Square on 23rd Street and 9th Ave. IMHO, it is the best diner in the neighborhood.

Pehaps (although many people prefer Malibu Diner on 23rd Street), but it's still "just" a diner, not a place for real chow.

I just thought of another one that is a good staple: Energy Kitchen. Cheap. Healthy.

Did anyone mention Chelsea Square? I've had good luck with their large and filling salads.

Try using the places link. I'm not sure if this address is correct however.

Chelsea Square is a good recommendation - they deliver 24-7!

This is the diner on the corner of 23rd and 9th, right? It's just ok, but they will deliver a cheeseburger deluxe at 3am.

Do you use seamlessweb? Plug in your Chelsea address and you'll come up with 100+ choices. My favorites are Wu Liang Ye (which may not reach you, depending where in Chelsea you are) and Gobo (although I'm not a vegetarian).

Ditto to the seamlessweb suggestion. You'll get far more delivery options than you may expect. And Maffei's for pizza, 22nd/6th.

Taco Bandito on 8th b/t 26/27 has decent Mexican delivery - it's a hole in the wall though. Thai Chai-yo is good.

Don Giovanni's for pizza. wood-burning oven style. amazing.
              Spice for thai.
              O Mai for Vietnamese (20th and 9th)
and yes, Murray's delivers. AMAZING when you're sick at home.

I second Grand Sichuan for Chinese, although what you get delivery-wise can be inconsistent. For Italian, Intermezzo is our favorite. I am not a fan of Le Zie but - who knows - perhaps you will feel differently. For Indian, Surya. And there are 2 Murrays, both excellent.

And while we're on the subject, what is everyone's favorite pizza delivery? Rocco's has gone downhill of late imho.

Burritoville on 23rd St between 7th and 8th Aves. I've ordered from them for years and their burritos travel very well.

They do and they're fast. But they sometimes mess up your order (this happens with takeout too) and some of the delivery guys can be very pushy about their tip even when you're generous.

Welcome to the nabe! I am psyched to try some of a_and_w's suggestions i didn't know.
It's funny because we don't really dine at these places but they are total staples for delivery:

                    Lasagna (Italian)
                    Chelsea Thai or Spice (Thai)
                    Elmo (comfort food)
Wai Cafe (cheap eats) -nothing special, but it is a staple
                    Murray's Bagels

Yeah, Salsa y Salsa is pretty disappointing. Now that Kitchen Market is gone, Chipotle is probably the best "mexican" in the immediate area. Here are some other places that delivered to me when I lived at 24th and 6th:

Szechuan Gourmet or Grand Sichuan for Chinese
                      Curry Leaf for Indian
                      Roomali for roomali rolls
Waldy's for pizza (but skip the lamb with preserved lemons)
                      RUB for bbq
                      Negril Chelsea for Jamaican
                      Tebaya for wings
Great Burrito for tacos (but stay away from the burritos)
NY Burger & Co. for burgers
                      Lenny's for sandwiches

Totally forgot -- Le Zie for awesome Italian food.

Also, depending on where you are, Maroon's may deliver to you. I prefer their soul food to the caribbean offerings.

If you do a search, you'll come up with my post from a couple of weeks ago where Lenny's delivered lunch to me in Chelsea in less than 10 minutes. You can order from them on-line direcly from their website. You also can order decent pizza from Pizza 33 either on Seamlessweb or direcly from their website (I think it's slightly cheaper ordering directly from them). And Sala 19 -- very good Spanish -- also delivers, again either from Seamlessweb or directly from their website. I was surprised how well their paella travels!

I've used Seamless Web, but haven't been too impressed with the choices I see for Chelsea, ESPECIALLY those for Mexican food.

There's a good sushi place called Canaan on 29th Street -- they have a lobster salad with avocado that's fabulous, and all their sushi is good.
