Coffee Roasters
Any thoughts on recommended coffee roasters here in Austin? I'm smitten with Anderson's off of Kerby Lane, but do fellow Chowhounders suggest others?

Anderson's is the place. They learned the art from Alfred Peet (of Peet's Coffee, progenitor of Starbucks) back in the late '60s or early '70s and have more experience than most other roasters around the country. My one complaint is they don't bring in special coffees when they are available, the single estate coffees so widely available now--it would be nice if they rotated 2-3 of those spectacular beans on a regular basis. But I think the reason they keep their prices so low (7.95-9.95 vs 11.95-14.95 for other premium roasters) is that they buy tremendous lots months out...if they did the more specialty beans, those would have to be in that higher range and maybe they feel their customers are better served by their lower prices. Shop around on the 'net and see what I mean. And in Austin, no one does it better.
