Birthday Burger and ice Cream

My wife wants a burger and ice cream for her birthday. They don't have to be the same restaurant - but hopefully shouldn't be too far apart. And I want to have a reservation in place so it needs to be more of a restaurant - right now most of the good burger places I've tried do not accept reservations.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I've not had the burger at Blue Smoke, but I've heard it's excellent. On the dessert menu: an ice cream sundae and a hot fudge brownie sundae. Reservations are accepted.

Happy Birthday to your wife and Bon Appetit!

Third this idea. Its a great burger. A shake shack burger on steroids.

You could go over the top and get the burger at DB Bistro. There is currently a chocolate sorbet/vanilla ice cream dessert on the menu as well.

Emack and Bolio for ice cream! It's awesome! There's one on W. Houston and there are like two others in Manhattan. You can check the website for flavors and other locations.

My immediate thought is Big Nick's for a great, giant burger followed by ice cream at Grom just down the street, but Nick's is kind of a neighborhood greasy spoon that also makes my favorite burgers.

Smith and Wollensky Grill has an excellent burger, takes reservation and has some of the best desserts around.
I would also suggest going to Royale on Ave C for the burger and then walking around the corner to 10 between A and 1st to this great little ice cream shop that is awesome.
