?Papa Milano?

We are former Chicagoans visiting and were heartbroken to see one of our favorites demolished at State/Oak and a construction site in its place. Did it move to another location? We enjoyed many nice meals there over the years. We were similarly devastated last year to discover that Fluky's was no longer. Change sucks!

Fluky's survives at locations in Lincolnwood and Buffalo Grove. www.flukys.com

FYI: Fluky's is also commercially packaged for resale at most Jewell & Domincks in the Chicagoland area. You might want to take a few packages home with you for when that "urge" hits!

Arrrrg!!! Another one bites the dust. Papa Milanos is gone. I took a group to dinner last night to what I beleived was one of the most sincere little Italian restaurants, only to find it has been replace with an ugly steel & glass building.

What sad times are these when passing ruffian developers can replace a Chicago lankmark at will. There is a pestilence upon this land – nothing is sacred.

      Damn Damn Damn

The nearest spiritual clone of Papa Milano's is probably The Village -- second floor of the Italian Village on Monroe between Dearborn and Clark.

I'm glad we got to take our seven year old grandson to Papa Milano shortly before its demise, just as we used to take his daddy there 35 years ago
