YoBerry

This Korean-style frozen yogurt place just opened in the Super 88 food court at Packards Corner. I tried their product today for the first time while I was waiting for my banh mi at Pho Viet.

Two bites and the yogurt went into the trash. They're clearly trying for the Pinkberry market, but their product is just laughably bad: unlike real frozen yogurt, this was icy and crystalline, and the vanilla flavor was nastily artificial. So much so that even though I've finished my banh mi, I still have a nasty metallic fake-vanilla aftertaste in my mouth, Bleah.

Three months, tops.

What a bizarre concept. Korean-type Pinkberry knockoff with the tagline "So good, 'cause it's so hood." WTF?

You know, that slogan is so deeply lame that I didn't even want to bring it up because it would seem like I was piling on, but...yeah. Wow. I had no idea frozen yogurt was so gangsta.

Myself and a lot of people won't be patronizing that place because of its lame slogan.

Tasty stuff. It's definitely about time Boston get introduced to this asian-style frozen yogurt. Slogan is definitely silly and goofy. But i think that was the point.

i laughed at their slogan when i first saw it too the other day. i'll try it for the sake of trying it but pinkberry's is also highly overrated.

Actually, I love the Pinkberry-like vanilla frozen yogurt that's in David Horowitz's new ice cream book. But this stuff isn't even as good as what I used to get at Tastee-Freez when I was a kid, and in retrospect, I now realize that stuff was awful.
