West Conshohocken/Philly

We're meeting my ma in West Conshohocken for a weekend in September. We need two dinner places that aren't to hard to get to from WC. Ma's not a big fan of Indian or Thai.

Thanks!

Gypsy Saloon and Stella Blu in West Conshohocken are pretty good. If you want to byob, Fayette Street Grill in Conshohocken is good. I believe they have a fixed price menu.

I would choose Blackfish, which is right on Fayette in Conshy. Pepperoncini is also a good option for Italian. For both, reservations are needed.

Persian Grill is also a good place, although it is about 5 minutes away in Lafayette Hill.

I second Blackfish for seafood. (BYOB)
Savona in Gulph Mills is also very close by. The dover sole is their signature dish but you will pay handsomely for it. A very sophisticated and upscale place.
In Manayunk on Main Street is Jake's (a particular favorite of mine)

Along with Blackfish, Spamps is nearby- both good choices.

Viggiano's in Conshy is a nice family-run BYOB - I've had numerous good meals, including my rehearsal dinner and a bridal shower... although I think they've down-sized their dining room so I don't know if that means changes in the menu?

Well, after reading the following post, it seems as though Viggiano's has gone down the tubes (I hadn't been in about 2 years) but check the post for other possibilites...

Aren't you right on the Surekill? Thought about Manayunk or Philadelphia?
