i've seen them all over china town and all the groceries that i frequent (dominion, fiesta farms, no frills)
good ripe ones that weren't shipped practically frozen, now that's the search.

I guess I haven't been paying attention...I usually just look for ripe-looking Ontario peaches when I'm shopping. I'll check out the StLM this weekend.
Thanks!

I get them from T&T supermarket, but they don't usually have a super ripened peachy flavour. You might want to try some of the farmers markets, where they are picked when ripe rather than still 'green'. It's the middle of peach-picking season (month of August), so now's the time for some lovely peaches!

Great, I'll check out Metro Hall this week and see if they have any.
Late summer is the only time to eat peaches!
Thanks for your suggestions.

Sam - If you really like them, then you should peel and puree them and freeze them in small batches. Nothing tastes better in the middle of the winter than a bellini made with white peach nectar.

I picked up a white peach at the Harvest Wagon the other day. One peach cost me about $2 but it was huge and perfect and eating it, with juice dripping down my face was the sweetest moment I can remember.

They had them at the East York Farmers' Market this week. Delicious.

Thanks everyone. I usually see the small unripe ones at the supermarket....but they are not very appealing. I'll see if the market at Metro Hall has any today - if the rain holds off!

the new T&t on cherry st has large white peaches from the US. Bramburg, Bramber...? can't remember the variety name but they were $1.29/lb and though not soft/ripe they were pristine.

I bought some a few days ago at Longo's (Leslie & York Mills) to make bellinis, but they were mealy and flavourless. Had to throw them out- quel drag.

pretty much all the farmers markets in the city will have them, we're in the midst of peach season. I saw a bunch at Dufferin Grove this Thursday.
Nothing annoys me more than seeing California peaches around this time, such a waste.

Does anyone know of any peach orchards within traveling distance (1-2hr) of the GTA that still has good peaches left? I wanted to go this weekend, but it looks like the orchard we were planning to go to (Cherry Avenue Farms) is done for the (peach) season. boo...

I saw them today in Pusateri (Yorkville) @ 2.99 a pound.

Thanks, but I'd really like to find a pick-your-own farm. Not necessarily white peaches, but any peaches would do!

beamsville- go south west on king st. all kinds of orchards plus some decent wineries. it is about an hour from downtown.

I ended up getting some really sweet ones at the "farmer's market" at Metro Centre last week (Thursday). They were delicious, not mealy at all.

They had them at City Hall Market yesterday and they are delicious. Better than the Red Haven's now. $4 for 5 or 6 big ones.
