Miele La Perla - Buy it at Pacific Sales or Renwes Sales in OC?
We are in the market for a dishwasher and have family who have had Miele dishwashers for a number of years (& love them!).
I was wondering if:
(1) anyone has purchased the latest top end model, La Perla? If so, what do you think of it? Was it worth the extra money?
(2) anyone has had any experience purchasing from Renwes Sales in Lake Forest?
We've purchased from Pacific Sales in the past - pretty good experience. Except that when we went in on Saturday, they had no interest in selling the Miele to us They kept pushing this double drawer dishwasher (can't remember the name, something like Fischer & Paytel?), which we didn't really care for. Said that it was top-of-the-line. We were just annoyed because they didn't really seem to know much about Miele.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
I have a general suggestion when dealing with appliance stores : call and pre-screen the salemen. I rarely will talk to any of the folks "just walking the floor" as you have no idea how long they've been in the business nor what ability they have to negotiate. If you call, and say that you are "working on a renovation" you will generally get the salespeople that work with the contractors. These tend to be the more experienced senior people that are authorized to do the "price matching" and will have a good handle on the comparision between models.
We went and bought the La Perla from Renwes Sales in Lake Forest. They had a whole Miele kitchen full of appliance demos, plus the guy was geniunely interested in helping us make a good choice rather than pushing certain products.
Plus, the installer is a Miele-certified one which will extend our warranty by 1 year. Pacific Sales were using a GE installer.
If you haven't been to this place, I'd recommend it for kitchen appliances and washer/dryer. They don't have bath stuff like Pacific Sales, but I liked them more.
