Westside Pho?

  • 8

Looking for good pho on the west end.. Culver City, West LA, Venice. I know there's a place on Wilshire in Santa Monica who's name escapes me right now. But that's not really that convenient.

Pho 99! That's the one I go to when I visit my sister in Santa Monica. Le Saigon would be a little more accessible. I'm hoping there is one that's even closer to me over in Culver City. Thanks for the suggestions!

My wife had the flu a few months ago. All she wanted to eat for about five days was pho. I just happened to wind up getting chicken pho at four places on the Westside - Pho 99, Le Saigon, China Beach in Venice, and a place in the food court at the Westside Pavillion - I think it's called East Wind or the place next to it. The best by far was China Beach - richer flavors, meatier white meat chicken.

BTW, oddly enough the seafood pho at the Hollywood Park casino is wonderful. Their beef pho is, however, dreadful. Never tried their chicken version.

pho 99 is <1/2 mile from le saigon....and is located in west la/brentwood.

almost forgot, red moon in palms (sawtelle & national) has pho as well.

I haven't been in years, so take my opinion with a grain of fish sauce, but Red Moon was absolutely terrible pho, and worse service.

lol, it's pho....and on the westside.

the last time i was at red moon was over 4yrs ago....the pho was sweet and uninteresting. ugh. the service was actually decent.....

Love Le Saigon, though I've never tried the pho. How's the rest of the food at pho 99? Also, do you know if they deliver?

        3. noodle planet in westwood has surprisingly good pho.
